The festive season is a time when we can really appreciate everything that makes us what we are: our culture, our cuisine and our celebrations – celebrations that are now more charitable than ever.
That most magical time of the year, awaited with baited breath, when our feelings and our relationships with our family and friends become stronger than ever, is coming around once more. And Viena wants to celebrate Christmas with all the “Vienese”, our loyal family!
At Christmas, we pay tribute to the traditional dishes that have helped to shape our culture at the festive season. This year, we present four specials: traditional Christmas Cannelloni, served on a bed of béchamel sauce; Galets Soup, based on the classic Viena recipe; Caramel Pudding, served hot with vanilla cream – the custard that is so popular in British cuisine; and, finally, for the toast, we present Affligem Double, a strong, aromatic beer with an intense flavour.
Traditional dishes to share with family and friends.
As every year, moreover, all those who like trying new specialities can take part in the Viena Christmas Raffle and win lots of prizes. The youngest members of the family can read a new travel adventure in Globus magazine. All this, amid our splendid festive decorations, which create a magical atmosphere that you can enjoy with those you love most. Finally, coinciding with the Christmas holidays, we launch a new charitable initiative in cooperation with the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, inviting all our customers, the “Vienese”, to help fund research scientific into Alzheimer’s disease.
Cooperation with Pasqual Maragall Foundation
From now on, at our establishments in Catalonia and Valencia, customers paying by card will have the chance to round up the final total of their bill and help to fund a project implemented by the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, which pursues the mission of combating Alzheimer’s disease.
All funds collected during the campaign will go to finance the new Clinical Research Unit for the Prevention of Dementia, promoted by the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), the research centre established by the Pasqual Maragall Foundation. This project gives us the opportunity to join together and support research aimed at defeating Alzheimer’s, a disease that affects some 46 million people around the world today. We urge you all to cooperate with this initiative. It is an easy way to help, and if we all join together we can achieve great things!
